Melissa has worked for the last two decades as a caterer, pastry chef, as well as a personal chef. Her love for food began as a young child growing up in the inner city of Chicago. Surrounded by a city of amazing sites and smells, she fondly remembers her rides on the Chicago transit, each stop along the route welcomed the smells of each distinct neighborhood; Davidson's bakery, Micah's Jewish Delicatessen, Little Bombay. Food is the common uniter. It brings families and friends together. She truly believes that cooking is a gift that should be given often and abundantly to those we love.
